I recently went to the Amalfi Coast for a week to soak up some sun and explore the little towns along one of Italy’s most famous coasts. The photos don’t do it justice. To say it was breathtaking is an understatement! If you haven’t been to Amalfi yet, I highly recommend putting it on your bucket list. I’ll be posting an article soon with an itinerary.
Praiano is about half way along the coast, nestled in between Positano and Amalfi. It’s significantly less crowded than it’s neighbouring towns and is home to the famous Africana Club. It’s the perfect hideaway if you’re looking for a quiter town to relax in, spend the day on the beach, and watch the sunset while enjoying an apertivo.
3 Amazing Restaurants in Praiano
While in Praiano, besides spending a night out at the Africana Club, save some time to eat at the following 3 restaurants:
Il Pirata
Perfect for a romantic dinner along the water. On the pricier side, but the seafood and desserts are worth it! Order a bottle of wine, watch the colors of the water change as the sun sets, and don’t leave without trying the pear & ricotta dessert.
Criscito’s
Go here to watch the sunset over the cathedral of Praiano and enjoy the best pizza outside of Naples. Don’t be fooled by the slightly rundown outside decor, this place has topnotch appetizers, pizza, and craft beer. Make sure to book ahead if you want to eat outside on the terrace.
Kasai
Perfect for a romantic dinner, large group, or traveling with kids. The staff at Kasai are incredibly sweet and will do everything to make sure you have the best time at the restaurant. Try the mussel soup appetizer, the fried seafood starter and the ravioli! Note – The appetizers portions are quite large, so only order one to share if you are ordering both pasta and a main course.
Have you been to Praiano? Which restaurants would you recommend?
